Job Description
1.Assists in the implementation of the supply component of the Country Programme, including a system for the procurement and distribution of supplies to all project sites.

2.Interacts with the Programme Section in the preparation of appropriate documents: Supply Call Forwards (SCFs), Supply List (SLs), and purchase orders, etc.; according to procurement specifications and supply procedures.

3.Assists the Operations/Programme Officer with logistics planning, and arrangements facilitating efficient clearance, storage and distribution of supplies and equipment to end-users from ports of entry and warehouses.

4. Undertakes local procurements, as required. Participates in CRC. When required, maintains contact with customs and immigration officials, follows up on preliminary supply clearance documentations to facilitate timely customs clearance of supplies and equipment, in keeping with established protocol.

5.Undertakes field visits to project sites and sub-offices to inventory and monitor supply inputs. Proposes corrective actions to improve logistical procedures. Prepares trip reports for the head-of-office.

6.Identifies training needs and develops training activities in supply management for UNICEF's staff/consultants and counterparts, designed to improve supply delivery.

7.Maintains PRoMs supply monitoring system, participates in the preparation of GFSS generated supply status reports, required for donor reports, budget reviews, programme analysis, annual reports, appeals, etc.

8.Performs any other duties as required.

1.University degree in Business Administration, Management, Supply, Logistics or a related field.

2.Two years of professional work experience in supply/logistics management at the national and international levels.

3.Proven analytical and negotiating skills.

4. Ability to implement training.

5.Good knowledge of EDP applications.

6.Ability to work effectively and harmoniously in an international multicultural environment.

7. Fluency in English, Dari and Pashtun (both written and oral communication) is required.
