Job Description
1.Provide coordination support in partnership building and guide activities with youth groups (ARCS/YICC) and NGOs

2.Support activities related to MRM, TF/MRM.

3.Support and guide programmes on psycho-social support with juvenile correction homes, women in prison and supervise the establishment of the child friendly corners, support street children work, & monitor progress.

4.Guide activities of girls’ resource centers (GRC) and engage NGOs/CPAN partners.

5.Develop mechanisms with partners; CPAN to support SGVB/prevention of harmful practices, CRC violations, birth registration and MRE related activities.

6.Support training of new partners on CRC, child protection.

7.Develop advocacy initiatives and support programmes for girls’ and women’s empowerment

8.Provide support to the women’s and police desk at Islam Qala border (pilot)

9.Performs any other duties as required.

  Profile

1.Recognized Masters/Bachelor’s degree in social science. Legal background is advantageous but not necessary.

2.At least 3 years’ field experience in child protection and development areas. Working in social protection, UR, psycho-social support, MRE and SGBV is necessary for this job. Understanding of conflict and natural disaster situations would be an asset.

3.Essential Technical Knowledge of theories, principles and methods in the following areas: Strengthening child protection systems; Strengthening partner capacity for protecting children against violence; in emergencies; Strengthening in respect of harmful traditional practices; Strengthening in improving justice for children and in strengthening social welfare systems; Use of data and indicators in child protection.

4.Competencies Required: Core Values(Commitment, Diversity and Inclusion, Integrity); Core Competencies (Communication, Working with People, Drive for Results); and Functional Competencies(Formulating Strategies and Concepts, Analyzing, Analyzing, Applying Technical Expertise, Learning and Researching, Planning and Organizing).

5.Demonstrated ability to work in a team in a multi-cultural environment, and establish harmonious and effective working relationships both within and outside the organization.

6.Good command over written and spoken English is a must. Working knowledge of Pashtun and Dari desirable.
