Job Description
• Identify and train community resource persons from the returnees’ community on GBV and promotion of Gender inequality.
• Train camp shura and community health committees to raise their awareness regarding GBV and its consequences.
• To develop the capacity of camp shura and community health committees and motivate them using IEC materials to identify, respond to, and prevent GBV which will help in the development of a sustainable community based prevention and response mechanisms.
• To develop capacities of returnees’ schoolteachers on rights, prevention of GBV and basic counseling services for GBV survivors.
• Provide support to all issues related to GBV in the community. Identify and counsel cases that need further support for referral to a psychiatrist, legal support and shelter needs.
• Conduct community education campaigns to raise awareness about GBV.
• Conduct quarterly seminars and health committees meetings in accordance within cultural norms through involving returnees’ shura, school teachers and students.
• Involve the shura and Maleks and older youth in interactive dialogues at the community level. Work with religious elders to include mosques for rights awareness forums.
• Report on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to their immediate supervisors.
• Assisting the GBV Assistant Project Officer/GBV Project Officer in capacity building of health workers of the concerned health facilities in provision of health services to the GBV survivors.
• Play key role in conducting Baseline and End of Project KAP Surveys in the returnee settlements.
• Conduct Pilot testing of the IMC designed IEC materials at the community level before disseminating to the community.

• Nurse graduate from recognized nursing institute.
• Have experience and knowledge in psycho social counseling
• At least 3 years experience with a local or international NGOs
• Having knowledge of Dari, Pushtu and English languages and local language is and advantage.
• Good team work spirit.
• A willingness to learn new skills.
• Self-motivated
